DEION SANDERS SAYS HE’S SUITING UP TO PLAY IN PRO BOWL - Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders tweeted Monday that he will play in the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl.Sanders, who retired eight years ago, is the alumni team captain of Chuck Pagano’s Pro Bowl team in the event’s first year of its new format. Similar to the NHL’s format, the players will be split up by a fantasy draft rather than by conference affiliation.Sanders also called for opposing team captain Jerry Rice to suit up Jan. 26 in Honolulu, Hawaii. "Ladies and Gentlemen I am officially announcing "I WILL SUIT UP IN HAWAII" Please let @JerryRice know that a real captain leads by example!," Sanders tweeted.Sanders, an eight-time Pro Bowl cornerback with the Falcons, 49ers and Cowboys, then went on to tweet Cardinals Pro Bowl CB Patrick Peterson that if he’s selected by Team Deion, he’ll need to wear a number other than Sanders’ 21.The draft will be held Jan. 22. DEION SANDERS SAYS HE’S SUITING UP TO PLAY IN PRO BOWL - Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders tweeted Monday that he will play in the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl.

Sanders, who retired eight years ago, is the alumni team captain of Chuck Pagano’s Pro Bowl team in the event’s first year of its new format. Similar to the NHL’s format, the players will be split up by a fantasy draft rather than by conference affiliation.

KEN WHISENHUNT TO BE TITANS NEXT HEAD COACH - The Tennessee Titans have agreed to contract terms with San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt to become the teams’ new head coach, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports.Whisenhunt, the Cardinals’ head coach from 2007 through 2012, also interviewed with Detroit and Cleveland for their head-coaching vacancies. The Lions were expected to offer Whisenhunt a contract to become their coach. But according to Rapoport, Whisenhunt decided to go with the Titans after hearing their pitch.The Titans fired former head coach Mike Munchak eight days ago.Whisenhunt, 51, led Arizona to a 49-53 mark during his tenure.
